CHARACTERISTICS

  • This is a Kampo gastrointestinal medicine containing a combination of the Kampo formulation <Koshaheiisan>, which improves the function of weakened stomach, and the crude drug, Shakuyaku (peony root), which relieves stomachache.
  • It has a beneficial effect in symptoms such as stomach heaviness and indigestion caused by excessive eating or drinking.
  • It is an easy-to-take, light brown tablet with aroma unique to Kampo formulations.

INDICATIONS

  • Stomach heaviness, feeling of discomfort in the stomach, excessive drinking, excessive eating, loss of appetite, gastritis
  • Indigestion, feeling of fullness in the stomach and abdomen
  • Heartburn, belching, stomachache, abdominal pain, gripping pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS

Take the following amount of medicine without chewing with cold or lukewarm water after or between meals.

7-14 years 2 tablets
Under 7 years Do not take.

Precautions regarding dosage and directions

  1. Children are permitted to take this medicine only under the direction and supervision of a parent or other responsible adult.
  2. Please follow the recommended dosage and directions.

INGREDIENTS

Nine tablets of this medicine (daily dose for persons aged 15 years or over) contain the following ingredients:

Koshaheiisan-kashakuyaku extract 2,100mg
(as dry extract)
Sojutsu (atractylodes lancea rhizome) 2,000mg
Taiso (jujube) 1,000mg
Koboku (magnolia bark) 1,500mg
Kobushi (cyperus rhizoma) 1,000mg
Chimpi (citrus unshiu peel) 1,500mg
Shukusha (amomum seed) 1,000mg
Kanzo (glycyrrhiza) 500mg
Shakuyaku (peony root) 1,500mg
Shokyo (ginger) 500mg
Extracted from the above crude drugs

Inactive ingredients:

Anhydrous silicic acid, aluminium silicate, carmellose calcium, magnesium stearate, scents, lactose hydrate

Precautions regarding ingredients

Since the medicine contains crude drugs, the tablet color may vary for individual products; however this has no effect on the efficacy of this medicine.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

Who should seek consultation

  1. The following persons should consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson* before taking this medicine:
    1. Persons under treatment by a physician
    2. Women who are or may be pregnant
    3. Persons who have experienced rashes, redness, itching, etc., due to medicines or something
  2. Stop taking this medicine immediately and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson if the following symptoms appear after taking this medicine because they might be side effects of the medicine. Take this leaflet with you.

  3. Stop taking this medicine and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson if symptoms do not improve after taking this medicine for about one month. Take this leaflet with you.

*Registered salesperson: person who has the license to sell OTC medicines except Category 1.

PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE AND HANDLING

  1. Keep the bottle tightly closed and store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
  2. Keep out of the reach of children.
  3. To prevent improper use or loss of quality, do not transfer the medicine to another container.
  4. Once the bottle is opened, throw away the filler in the bottle. (Putting the filler back into the bottle may change the quality of the medicine by absorbing moisture. The filler in the bottle protects the tablets from breakage during transportation.)
  5. Be sure to close the cap tightly after each use. (Failure to tightly close the bottle may result in loss of the quality of the medicine due to moisture.)
  6. Do not take this medicine after the expiration date.
  7. Fill in the date when the bottle was opened in the column provided on the box and bottle.
  8. Once the bottle is opened, take this medicine within about 6 months to maintain quality.
