CHARACTERISTICS

  • TAKEDA KAMPO FROMIN ACE is a health drug for nutrients and tonics that contains 3 crude drugs with tonic effects, eucommia bark, ginseng and deer antler velvet, as well as 7 vitamins and calcium.
  • This medicine acts as a supplement for 7 vitamins, including vitamins A, C, E, fursultiamin, and vitamins B2, B6 and B12, in addition to calcium.
  • This medicine contains fursultiamin, a vitamin B1 derivative , which is well absorbed and easily used in the body.
  • This medicine is a yellow, oval sugar-coated tablet.

INDICATIONS

  • Nutrients and tonics
  • Supply of nutrients in the following cases:
    physical fatigue, during or after illness, loss of appetite, nutritional disorders, exhaustion with fever
  • Weak constitution

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS

Take the following amount of medicine without chewing after a meal, with cold or lukewarm water.

Although urine may turn yellow after taking this medicine, do not worry because this is caused by riboflavin butyrate in this medicine.

[About the crude drugs contained in this medicine]

tochu :
“tochu”(eucommia ulmoides) is a deciduous tall tree indigenous to China. When its bark is folded, sticky white string-like sap is exuded. The crude drug eucommia bark is a dried bark of Eucommia ulmoides. It is listed in “Shinnohonzokyo,” a Chinese document on drugs and is one of the important crude drugs that has been used as a tonic up until the present day in China.
Recently, the active ingredient and tonic effect, etc., of eucommia bark have also been studied in Japan and its effects have been observed.
ninjin :
“ninjin”(ginseng) is a dried root of ginseng for medicines and is listed in “Shinnohonzokyo.” It is a tonic that has been much-prized. It has a wide range of effects and acts particularly to improve decreased metabolic function, increase appetite and to strengthen the body.
rokujo :
“rokujo” (cervi parvum cornu) is a dried young antlers of Manshu red deer, etc. that are still covered with velvet and that rapidly grow.
It is listed in “Shinnohonzokyo.” It is considered to act to strengthen a weakened body and is used to improve a weak constitution, etc.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

Who should seek consultation

  1. The following persons should consult a physician, pharmacist or registered salesperson* before taking this medicine:
    1. Persons under treatment by a physician.
    2. Woman who have been pregnant for no more than 3 months, woman who may be pregnant, or woman who are willing to get pregnant (an increase in the incidence of congenital anomaly has been reported in children born from pregnant women who took at least 10,000 international units of vitamin A daily during the period from 3 months before pregnancy to the third month of pregnancy).
  2. Stop taking this medicine immediately and consult a physician, pharmacist or registered salesperson if the following symptoms appear after taking this medicine because they might be side effects of the medicine. Take this leaflet with you.

  4. Stop taking this medicine and consult a physician, pharmacist or registered salesperson if symptoms do not improve after taking this medicine for about one month. Take this leaflet with you.

*Registered salesperson: person who has the license to sell OTC medicines except Category 1.

PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE AND HANDLING

  1. Keep the bottle tightly closed and store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
  2. Keep out of the reach of children.
  3. To prevent improper use and loss of quality, do not transfer the medicine to another container.
  4. Once the bottle is opened, throw away the filler in the bottle. (Putting the filler back into the bottle may change the quality by absorbing moisture. The filler in the bottle protects the tablets from breakage during transportation.)
  5. As this medicine is an oval sugar-coated tablet, the tablets may be damaged (fragments of sugar coating) by impacts such as falls. Therefore, handle this medicine with adequate caution (the tablets are prone to being affected by impacts after the padding in the bottle is thrown away).
  6. Be sure to close the cap tightly after each use. (Failure to tightly close the bottle may result in loss of the quality of the medicine due to moisture.)
  7. Do not take this medicine after the expiration date.
  8. Fill in the date when the bottle was opened in the column provided on the box and bottle.
  9. Once the bottle is opened, take this medicine within about 6 months, to maintain quality.
