About the crude drugs contained in this medicine
Since the root bark of Botan (moutan) is used for medicinal purposes, it is presented as Botanpi (moutan bark). It is one of the important crude drugs listed in the oldest document of Chinese medicines, "Shinno Honzogyo." Botanpi extract improves blood circulation and suppresses inflammation.
(horse chestnut) seed
Seiyotochinoki (horse chestnut) is also known as “marronnier.” Its seed extract is used for treatment of hemorrhoids in countries such as Germany and France. Seiyotochinoki seed extract improves blood circulation and suppresses inflammation.
The name of Shikon (lithospermum root), or purple root, derives from its color of root bark. It is a purple root listed in "Shinno Honzogyo" as lithospermum erythrorhizon, and has been used externally for the treatment of hemorrhoids since ancient times. Shikon extract suppresses inflammation.
