CHARACTERISTICS

Visine UV effectively promotes repair of damaged eye tissues and improves inflammation due to ultraviolet light, etc. with the astringent effect of zinc sulfate hydrate. Chondroitin sulfate sodium protects the surface of the cornea exposed to ultraviolet light. It contains the hyperemia-clearing ingredient, tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride, and is effective for redness of the conjunctiva caused by ultraviolet light-induced inflammation, etc.

INDICATIONS

Inflammation of the eyes due to ultraviolet light and other rays (such as snow blindness), redness of the conjunctiva, eyestrain, prevention of eye diseases (such as after swimming and when dust or sweat gets into the eyes), blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids), discomfort while wearing hard contact lenses, itchy eyes, blurred vision (eye mucus)

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS

Apply 1 to 3 drops at a time, 3 to 6 times a day.

Precautions regarding dosage and directions

  1. If you use this medicine too much, you might feel abnormal brightness or hyperemia may be caused.
  2. Children are permitted to use this medicine only under the direction and supervision of a parent or other responsible adult.
  3. Do not touch the tip of the bottle to your eye, eyelid, or eye lashes. In addition, do not use a clouded solution.
  4. Do not use this medicine while wearing soft contact lenses or rigid gas permeable contact lenses.
  5. For ophthalmic use only.

INGREDIENTS AND CONTENTS

The active ingredients of Visine UV 10 mL and their contents and main actions are as follows:

As inactive ingredients, this medicine contains sodium citrate, boric acid, benzalkonium chloride solution, chlorobutanol, edetate sodium, propylene glycol, glycerin, polysorbate 80, l-menthol, d-borneol, geraniol, pH-adjusting agents, and tonicity agent.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

Who should seek consultation

  1. The following persons should consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson* before using this medicine:
    1. Persons under treatment by a physician
    2. Persons who have had allergies to medicines or something
    3. Persons who have suffered from the following symptom:
      Severe eye pain
    4. Persons diagnosed with the following condition:
      Glaucoma
  2. Stop using this medicine immediately and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson if the following symptoms appear after using this medicine because they might be side effects of the medicine. Take this leaflet with you.

  3. Stop using this medicine and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson in the following cases. Take this leaflet with you.
    1. If there is no improvement in your blurred vision.
    2. If there is no improvement in your symptoms after using this medicine for 5 to 6 days.

*Registered salesperson: person who has the license to sell OTC medicines except Category 1.

PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE AND HANDLING

  1. Keep the bottle tightly closed and store it in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Do not leave the medicine in places where the temperature may become high (especially in cars, etc.)
  2. Keep out of the reach of children.
  3. To prevent improper use or loss of quality, do not transfer the medicine to another container.
  4. Do not share the medicine with others.
  5. Do not use this medicine after the expiration date (indicated on the outer box and bottle.)

How to open a cap seal

Peel the cap plastic film from the place shown by the arrow ([1]), and remove the film in the direction shown by the arrow along the line of punched holes ([2]). If a fragment of the film remains, cut it off before use.
Be careful not to break the film of the main body of this medicine.

Caution: Visine UV has a safety cap seal. If the film has been peeled off, do not use.
