CHARACTERISTICS

  • This medicine is an orally disintegrating tablet (light orange-red chewable tablet), which dissolves rapidly in the mouth.
  • This medicine can be taken without water wherever you are, even when you are busy before going out, or on a trip.
  • Meclizine hydrochloride and scopolamine hydrobromide hydrate have a beneficial effect in prevention and relief of dizziness, nausea, and headache associated with motion sickness.
  • With a slightly sweet and refreshing flavor, this medicine is also easy to be taken by children (aged 7 years or over).

INDICATIONS

Prevention and relief of dizziness, nausea, and headache associated with motion sickness

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS

For prevention of motion sickness, take one dose (as described below) 30 minutes before you get into the vehicle, by chewing or by dissolving the tablet.

Age One dose Daily dose
15 years or over 2 tablets Up to twice daily, with intervals of 4 hours or longer between doses
7-14 years 1 tablet
Under 7 years Do not take.

If you take an additional dose after symptoms have developed, take the dose at an interval of 4 hours or longer.
The number of doses per day should be up to two.

Precautions regarding dosage and directions

  1. Children are permitted to take this medicine only under the direction and supervision of a parent or other responsible adult.
  2. Please follow the recommended dosage and directions.

INGREDIENTS

In 2 tablets (one dose for persons aged 15 years or over and maximum daily dose for persons aged 7-14 years)

Scopolamine hydrobromide hydrate 0.25mg

Inactive ingredients:

Erythritol, crospovidone, cellulose, aspartame (L-phenylalanine compound), anhydrous silicic acid, magnesium stearate, yellow No.5, scents

To prevent motion sickness

  • Go to bed early and get adequate sleep the night before you travel by car or ship.
  • Have a light meal and avoid overeating or extreme hunger.
  • Maintain your gastrointestinal condition; especially, avoid constipation.
  • In the vehicle, do not keep watching nearby landscapes pass by at a high speed. Look at the distant landscape and relax by chatting, etc.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

What you should NOT do

(If you do not follow the precautions listed below, your current symptoms may worsen and you may be at an increased risk of side effects and accidents.)

  1. Do not use any of the following medicines while you take this medicine:
    Other motion sickness drugs, cold medicines, antipyretic analgesics, sedating drugs, cough and expectorant drugs, gastrointestinal analgesics and antispasmodics, oral remedies containing an antihistamine agent (such as oral remedies for rhinitis, medicines for allergies, and sedative hypnotics), etc.
  2. Do not operate vehicles or machines after taking this medicine.
    (Symptoms such as sleepiness, blurred vision, and abnormal brightness may appear.)

Who should seek consultation

  1. The following persons should consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson* before taking this medicine:
    1. Persons under treatment by a physician
    2. Women who are or may be pregnant
    3. Elderly persons
    4. Persons who have had allergies to medicines or something
    5. Persons who have suffered from the following symptom:
      Dysuria
    6. Persons diagnosed with the following conditions:
      Phenylketonuria, glaucoma, heart disease
    7. Persons taking oral medicines containing parasympatholytic agents (such as belladonna total alkaloid, isopropamide iodide, and scopolia extract)
  2. Stop taking this medicine immediately and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson if the following symptoms appear after taking this medicine because they might be side effects of the medicine. Take this leaflet with you.

  3. Stop taking this medicine and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered salesperson if the following symptoms appear after taking this medicine and continue or worsen. Take this leaflet with you.
    Dry mouth, constipation, sleepiness, blurred vision

*Registered salesperson: person who has the license to sell OTC medicines except Category 1.

PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE AND HANDLING

  1. Store the medicine in its box in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
  2. Keep out of the reach of children.
  3. To prevent improper use or loss of quality, do not transfer the medicine to another container.
  4. Do not take this medicine after the expiration date.
